Another weekend done. Moffat RFC vs Birkmyre match ended 29-53 yesterday with four tries from Wreck It Rory Drennan and Liam Henderson with his first try for The Rams. Thanks to Brodie for his mascot and ball boy services.
The Moffat Mini Rams were all in action at Annan this morning. Thanks to the hosts, referees, coaches and players for a cold but competitive morning of rugby.
Micros Match report by Coach Cammy. Moffat Micros beat Annan and Carlisle but lost to Stewartry and Lanark. Good day for the little ones who are mainly P1/2 and in their first season with tries for almost every player. Another fun day of rugby had by all. See you all on Wednesday at Moffat Academy at 530pm.
P6/7 Match report by Team Manager Christine Maxwell. Good day of rugby with a great turn out of Junior Rams.....started off nice and strong with a 4-2 win against Annan with tries scored by Imogen, Mason, Murray and Nicole all made possible by a strong team effort which continued onto the 2nd game against Langholm with a 5-4 win for the Rams with Heidi, Jake and Murray scoring tries. The Rams went on to play game 3 and 4 against a strong Stewartry team, where we lost our strong team effort and got beat 4-1 in game 3 with Kyle scoring our only try. 4-2 to Stewartry game 4 tries scored by Jake. Game 5 against Annan was a close one with a draw in my book but some disagree that we won with a 4-3 win but I have it as a 3-3 draw,either way tries were scored by Caelan, Ben and Jake. All in all the team played strong and as a team most of the morning and was a great clean well played mornings rugby.
