Due to events in the town our normal August slot had to be rearranged which brought the small 10's committee a few issues. They, as always, worked around it and hosted yet another great family day of rugby. Moffat RFC would like to thank all of the travelling teams, the referees, first aiders, kitchen and BBQ helpers, the supporters and the spectators for coming along to support us and for sitting out the showers! The party continued late into the evening with live music, inflatables, food, drinks and entertainment on the pitch.
We've received some lovely feedback from those in attendance and we'll take all feedback on board for next year's event which will be on Saturday 11th August 2018 (we'll maybe have a couple of days off before we start the planning for that one 😴)

Congratulations to Biggar RFC who beat Newton Stewart RFC in the final and were crowned the 2017 Tournament winners. The quiach winners were Stewartry Rugby Club Rugby Club who beat Dumfries Saints to be runners up.
The final and the biggest thank you of all goes to the hard working dedicated core team who prepared the grounds and clubhouse for the event and the tiny crew that put the whole event together for the benefit of everyone who played or attended. No job was too big or small and despite working flat out all week they still turned up, put in a full shift on the day and got the job done. Without them the club would simply not function.
The marque is down and it's back to the business of the new 2017/18 season . . .
Our next big event is our Annual Family Funday on the 9th September at 12noon followed by the first home game for the senior team kicking off at 3pm. #TeamRams
