It's a game of two halves!!!

Moffat Rams were at home to Bishopton in the BT west 3 division fixture, The sun was shining, the home support was massive due to the club fun day which was prior to kick off. Martin Salaman would lead out the Rams for his first home match as captain along with two junior Rams mascots in Robert Lane and Fraser Dodd.

Bishopton would get the game underway and a loose bouncing ball and a bit of luck would see the away team score early on and convert the kick 0-7. A well worked scrum down deep in the opposition half would see some great ball work would see the Rams rewarded with Dom Lewis scoring and Thomas Quigley would follow up with the conversion 7-7. Bishopton would bounce straight back with a penalty making it 7-10, the Rams would make great yards with Sonny Chaudhry getting the ball and running in and out of defenders all the way up the pitch, to be tackled out by the side line. A well worked over the top line out from the Rams would see the captain bulldoze towards the try line, carrying 5 players in his destruction for the Rams to take the lead 12-10, the Rams would go further ahead with some quick thinking from George Beamish and a quick line out, a ball shipped to Sonny who would score deep in the corner before half time 17-10.

The second half underway Moffat would go straight up the park and score with Gregory Robinson diving between the posts, with Thomas kicking the Rams to a 24-10 point lead.

The Rams would go down to 14 men when Johnny Little was shown a yellow card, even with 14 men the Rams would get another try through a Alan Tyler drive up the park taking out player after player, popping the ball to Sonny who then pass to Gary Smith who would score in the corner 29-10.

Don't know if the Rams thought the game was done but the Bishopton side was about to turn. The away side would drive Moffat down to the corner and get a converted try for their efforts 29-17, the rams now rattled Bishopton would punish the home side and score again 29-22, the Rams now on the back foot and looking the more tired out the two teams would concede a penalty and with the clock nearing the end, Bishopton would find a broken link in the Rams defensive line and grab a late try and the conversion would end the game 29-29.

Next week the Rams face Loch Lomond away from home.
