Rams secure first Modern Apprentice

Moffat Rugby Club are delighted to announce that 2015/16 Young Player of the Year Thomas Quigley has been given a opportunity of a lifetime to work within the Scottish Rugby Union as a Modern Apprentice based at his home club. This is the first time either a member or indeed the Rams have been successful in being awarded a place on the scheme.

This partnership between Moffat RFC and the SRU heralds a bright future for the club and is the culmination of extended negotiations with the National Governing Body. It reflects the Ram’s commitment to develop rugby at both Primary and Secondary School levels and is recognition of all the good work done by the Club’s coaches.

Thomas will be working alongside both the Senior and Junior Coaching staff at the club and within local Moffat and Lockerbie cluster schools to develop the game at all levels.

Thomas, who began playing rugby at Moffat as a mini, has played at all levels and is currently a regular in the Senior team.
